Help Nox and Partner Find Stability

Hello, my name is Nox Jackson. I'm a black trans guy from Michigan and I'm 37 years old. I'm married and I have a cat daughter. This story begins back in 2023 when we first ended up homeless. We have been living in hotels since then. My wife is autistic and has fibromyalgia, not to mention they've been burnt out for a while thanks to this situation and other things that we're dealing with.

They have been trying to go to school but the instability of our housing situation (living in a hotel) and my struggles to find another job are making it hard for them to focus. I myself love writing and being creative but it is also hard to focus on that when you're stressed out about how you're going to pay for your housing. I have been struggling to find decent work that will allow me to pay for an apartment, so that's why I haven't been able to rent. Even now I'm still looking for work.

If we had a steady source of income or at least a nest to sit on we would be able to pay for our room without stressing out about it. I do receive unemployment benefits but after next week I will only have 4 weeks left and I still haven't found another job that could help with decent income. To try and help with this I've been looking for commissions and other gig work to supplement income, but those are hard to come by as well.

People keep suggesting shelters but they're all full and we would have to rehome our cat, but she's a daughter to us and would rather not have to leave her somewhere when she's so attached to us. Anyone who has a pet that they love dearly can understand not wanting to abandon your fur baby just because of a situation like this. She's support for us. Her presence is calming in a stressful situation like this.

This situation has been a pain for both me and my wife, and we wish we could get out of it. (To note, if you see the name Winter Nightroad as the beneficiary that's an old name I used to go by online, so that's me the funds are going to, don't worry.) I just want us to be able to be comfortable enough to get out of this situation, or to be able to secure housing. At the same time, we also need help with funds for things like food and transportation costs (for ridesharing and bus passes).
