Help the NS Resettlement Society Relocate to New Home

The NS Resettlement Society needs a new home! Our building at 2739 Agricola Street in Halifax has been sold. We must vacate the building by August 31, 2024!

The NS Resettlement Society is a non-profit organization that supports people who have been displaced because of war or natural disaster and arrive in Nova Scotia under a special immigration program. NOVA HORIZONS, our operational centre, provides household items and settlement support to help newcomers rebuild their lives in Nova Scotia.

Since November 2023, we have helped over 300 families from Ukraine, Afghanistan, Syria, Sudan, Israel, Turkey and Gaza resettle in Nova Scotia. They’ve received furniture and household items, settlement support, fellowship and encouragement in our safe, friendly space at 2739 Agricola Street, Halifax.

For the past 15 months we’ve operated in rent-free space thanks to a generous donor. Incorporated in 2023, our efforts have focused on supporting newcomers and strengthening our organizational structure.

With an effective operating model and strong leadership team now in place, we’re ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges that come our way.

Please help NS Resettlement Society rent a new space now that our building has been sold and we must move out ASAP.
