Help NSBE-RPI attend 51th Annual NSBE Convention!

Dear Supporters,

We are reaching out to you with excitement and determination as the NSBE RPI Chapter plans to attend the 51st Annual NSBE National Convention! The primary focus of our GoFundMe campaign is to secure the necessary funds for transportation to the convention. Ensuring our members' attendance is crucial as it opens doors to a plethora of experiences, connections, and knowledge that will contribute significantly to their personal and professional growth.

The Annual Convention is hosted by the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), one of the largest student-managed organizations in the country. It brings together over 10,000 attendees including students, working engineers, corporate partners, recruiters, and global thought leaders. Attendees of this convention get access to a career fair with over 400 employers recruiting talent, design competitions and Hackathons, professional development workshops, networking events, motivating keynote sessions by influential speakers, and award ceremonies amongst other many opportunities.

The NSBE RPI Chapter is committed to fostering an environment of academic excellence, professional development, and community engagement. Our mission is to empower underrepresented minorities in the field of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to promote diversity and inclusion. NSBE’s National Convention aligns perfectly with our mission, providing a platform for networking, learning, and career development.

As an organization, the NSBE RPI Chapter is involved in a multitude of initiatives that exemplify our dedication to our mission. These include General Body Meetings (GBMs), weekly study jams, academic and professional workshops, Pre-Collegiate Initiative (PCI) workshops, RPI's Black Family Technology Awareness Day, donation drives, Troy community clean up, and company information sessions throughout the entire academic year! Our biggest event each year is our annual NSBE/Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) Career Fair, providing our members with opportunities to connect with leading companies, explore potential career paths, and engage with industry professionals.

Attending the NSBE National Convention will enhance our members' personal and professional growth, allowing them to network with peers, connect with potential employers, and gain insights into the latest developments in engineering and technology.
