Call for Donation: Nisreen, & Sama Algherbawi -Food&Supplies

My name is Nisreen, and I am writing to you on behalf of myself, Sama, and my family. I live in Gaza and I am raising funds for food, supplies and for possible evacuation. My family has been displaced for (1) one year and (3) months. My sisters and their husbands as well as my Nieces and Nephews are facing Famine and Displacement. We have been living in unsafe and inhumane conditions for the past year. We lost our jobs, our homes, and abruptly left the places we called home. Places that we once created beautiful memories in; to run for our lives. The heavy bombing caused us to leave quickly to ensure our safety as a family.

We have been displaced 4 times since the start of this conflict.

As aforementioned, we are raising funds for food and supplies as we face famine and displacement. Although the border for evacuation is closed, we are also raising funds in the event that the borders open for evacuees.

Since the start of this conflict, I have lost many family members, dear friends, and work colleagues. After losing my grandmother, and my uncle, I cannot bare to lose another family member in this conflict. The past 447 days have been a living nightmare for all of us. We are reaching out to you, not only as a fellow human beings but as people who understand the power of empathy and solidarity. We believe in the resilience of the human spirit, and with your help, we aspire to rebuild not just our house but also the hope that the conflict has sought to extinguish.

Compounding our challenges, both of my parents are facing severe health problems, and obtaining necessary medication & treatment is nearly impossible in the current conditions. My sister's children were born in the conflict, there is no milk in the market for children, so our babies are forced to eat from adult food, which is no condition for a newborn that requires the nutrients from infant milk. There is also no gas which has been incredibly hard on us for cooking.

We have lost everything, including sources of income. Now we are suffering from a terrible increase in prices on food and medication due to the scarcity in supplies, and we are facing famine.

Our needs are urgent, and I write this message to you with the help of my American Friend, Ashley with DJs against Apartheid, with the hope that you will support my family. Our situation is dire and we cannot wait too much longer under these conditions. Our lives depend on this support.
