Help Nuke Recover From A Raccoon Attack
Donation protected
At 11 am on 1/12/2023 Nuke and our other dog were confronted by a raccoon in our backyard. Unaware that there was a raccoon, I called the dogs to the back door. When called, Nuke left the raccoon and immediately came to the back door. I then had to go get our other dog who was behind the shed at the back fence, and that's when I realized there was a raccoon. While grabbing the other dog and backing away, I tripped and fell onto my back. The raccoon then charged me, jumped onto my chest, and tried to bite my face. Hearing my yells, Nuke rushed in and prevented the raccoon from injuring me... unfortunately he was not as lucky. Nuke was rushed to the emergency vet where he spent six hours in their care, three of that in surgery. Nuke sustained significant injuries to his head, including a shattered cheekbone. Fortunately, he has been discharged with high hopes of a full recovery, which is expected to take weeks if not months. We appreciate you taking the time to consider helping with the ongoing
vet bills. Thank you.
