Help Nussa & co workers Cope After New Orleans Tragedy

Donation protected
My cousin & his wife are hardworking pedicab drivers in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, focused on Bourbon Street. On New Year's Day around 3 am when my cousins were working, the horrible New Orleans terror attack took place.

Nussa was right on the corner in the exact spot where the driver made the turn to run several innocent people over. She was speaking to two of the girls right before they got run over as they were going across the street to meet with their other family members, laughing in pure bliss moments before their lives were taken.

Nussa looked at the driver’s face as he made the sharp turn and she said he was so laser-focused like he was on a mission or even possessed. She has this image stuck in her mind forever now knowing that he took 14 innocent souls and almost her own, injuring 30+ more innocent lives on New Year's Eve morning.

Her fellow pedicab associate shook hands with the gentleman seconds before he walked away just to get slammed by the white truck.

They were saved by one police car that was blocking them from the murderer’s truck.

As soon as I saw the news the next morning, I called my cousin immediately multiple times until one of them answered. Finally, my cousin's wife answered, hysterically crying at 11:30 am later that morning (over 8 hours later, still in total shock). The way she answered, I was so nervous my cousin Peter’s life was taken from us but thank God they are both alive.
The fear and anxiety in her voice made me realize how much this really affected her and had her truly traumatized.

She can barely sleep and is still hysterical and super anxious. Nussa and her co-workers Tyler and Ryan were right in the scene and witnessed the entire thing within a few feet of them.

These people made their living by doing pedicab and helping people while they can stay safe in the streets of New Orleans. They are all in shock and shook up since they have witnessed such a horrific event while interacting with the innocent people who have been murdered. Plus, seeing all of the dead bodies flattened and mangled on the ground, crying injured people and sobbing loved ones left them in a traumatic state. They are scared to even step outside and go into society.

They can barely sleep without waking up to panic attacks and non-stop nightmares. I cannot imagine, as I simply have nightmares after watching a shooting or murder movie.
This is something out of a movie and it is devastating and scary when it hits home.

These people are now scared to go back to work, traumatized, and need to find a new way to earn income. They have been working there for a long time and loved it until the night of the terror attack.
They have bills to pay.
Now they need to find therapy, heal mentally and emotionally, and find the courage to get through this.

Mental health is SO important. Please help donate anything so we can split between the 3 families while they take the time to heal emotionally and mentally.

Thank you so so much.
