Help with Nylas Vet costs post IMHA

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Chelsea, I am raising money to help contribute towards the vet bills for one of my closest and dearest friends, Nikita Bentor. As you can see in the picture, this is Nikitas adorable German Shepard x Lab Retriever named Nyla. She is only two years old and has a whole life ahead of her. She is normally a very playful and always happy pup. Her favourite thing to eat is cheese, she loves belly rubs and napping on the couch or bed with Nikita. She loves car rides and sticking her head out the window, her favourite thing to do is play with her two cat brothers at home. She is very protective of Zaiya, Nikitas neice, and sits in her car seat in the back of Nikitas car when she's not there. From the words of Nikita she is "the most loyal, playful, snuggly and fuzzy girl". This all changed a few days ago when Nikita took Nyla in to get some regular procedure rabies and kennel cough vaccines from the vet. Later that night, Nyla suddenly stopped eating and drinking water and was very lethargic and started running a fever. Nikita stayed up with her all night until ultimately making the decision to visit the emergency vet in the morning. Shockingly, she was told by the vet that Nyla's body was reacting negatively to the vaccines and that she was now diagnosed with a vaccine induced anemic condition called IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). This basically means that her immune system started over attacking not only the vaccine cells but also her own red blood cells. Her body is basically destroying itself from the inside out. My friend now was left with the gut-wrenching choice of having to put her beloved dog down or having to pay an outrageous amount of money out-of-pocket to give her dog a fighting chance at life. An extremely unfair ultimatum.

If any of you know my friend Nikita, you know that she is the most selfless and generous person and she would give the shirt off her back if she had to. Nikita is 19 years old, she has one full time job and pays for her own rent along with tons of other bills, and now she has the stress of all this, with her dogs life on the line. We all know how hard it is to do that all alone, I know for a fact if any of us were in that situation she would not skip a beat to help us out. This dog is Nikita's whole life and heart. She does everything for her dog. I cannot fathom to see my friend deal with this on her own. With that being said, I am asking from the bottom of my heart to please consider leaving a little donation to help my friend save her dogs life and aleviate some of the stress from the financial side of things.

Anything helps - even prayers. Thank you to everyone who helps in any way.
