Help Nzambi Matee Build Houses With Plastic Waste

Hi, my name is Farhoud Meybodi, and I am the creator of Earthbound, an award-winning documentary series that showcases brilliant inventor and United Nations Young Champion of the Earth Nzambi Matee and her mission to create sustainable, low-cost building materials from plastic waste.
With the support of The Earthbound Foundation, Nzambi has expanded her social enterprise, Gjenge Makers, in Nairobi. The business is driving innovation in the city’s construction industry by tackling three critical challenges at once: plastic waste pollution, high unemployment, and limited access to affordable building materials.
Looking back on the experience, I can say that making this film was one of my life's great joys. And now, as we begin sharing Earthbound with our community, I'm creating this fundraising campaign as a way of helping raise money for Nzambi’s company. She’s sacrificed so much, putting her heart and soul and all the things into Gjenge Makers. I think it's time for Nzambi to feel that dedication mirrored back to her, especially as she embarks on a new adventure -- kicking off research and development for her newest project, creating building blocks made from plastic waste. Nzambi wants to revolutionize the construction industry so folks from underserved communities around the world have access to fair and equitable housing.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this far and feel free to message our team with any questions or concerns. Rest assured that 100 percent of all proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Nzambi and Gjenge Makers.
With gratitude,
Farhoud
