O'Brian is currently battling multiple serious health issues, including appendicitis, pneumonia, a liver abscess, and a severe blood infection. As he fights for his life in the hospital, his partner Amber is by his side and trying to stay strong for their 3-month-old baby, Emmaline. They are facing overwhelming medical bills and the emotional toll of this devastating ordeal.

Amber and O’Brian are doing everything they can to hold things together, but they are running out of options. On January 23rd at 2am, O'Brian was rushed to the ER in critical condition. Struggling to breathe, unable to walk, and in excruciating pain. He was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, pneumonia, a liver abscess, and a severe blood infection that spread bacteria throughout his body, impacting multiple organs, including his lungs, liver, heart, and gallbladder. Doctors confirmed that if he had waited another day, he likely wouldn’t have survived.

For over a week and a half, O’Brian pushed through worsening symptoms, hoping it was just a virus, while continuing to work to support his family. By the time he reached the hospital, his condition had deteriorated dramatically. He underwent life-saving surgery for appendicitis, followed by a second surgery to drain a large liver abscess. He had a third surgery to reposition the drain in his liver. Now, doctors are closely monitoring a suspected heart valve issue, which may require a high-risk fourth surgery.

At the center of O’Brian’s fight is his family— his partner Amber and their newborn daughter, Emmaline. O’Brian is heartbroken that his condition has left him too weak to hold his baby girl or help Amber with the demands of parenthood. Amber has been by his side day and night, caring for O’Brian while breastfeeding and looking after Emmaline and their energetic puppy, Bella. Despite her own postpartum complications and upcoming surgery, Amber is doing everything she can to keep their family afloat.

O’Brian’s road to recovery is long and uncertain. He remains hospitalized, battling high fevers, unstable blood pressure, and severe weakness. Once discharged, he will require six weeks of intensive IV antibiotics and months of rest before he can return to work. In just six days, the family’s medical bills have soared to over $189,331.61, and those bills grow exponentially with each passing day. With O’Brian unable to work, Amber is left to manage mounting expenses for rent, utilities, food, diapers, and his overwhelming medical debt.
