Help Oheneba End Discrimination Against Rastas

My name is Denese Metsimela and I am raising funds on behalf of a very smart and worthy young man Oheneba Kwaku Nkrabea. On March 18, 2021, school authorities refused to enroll Oheneba and at the Achimota High School in Ghana despite earning a spot at the school through a computerized placement system. When Ras Aswad, the father of Oheneba, brought his son to the school for enrollment, he was told that his boy would not be admitted unless he cut his locks. Oheneba practices Rastafari; a spiritual system that has as one of it's key components, the growing of one's hair in it's most natural state. Despite being advised that a refusal to admit the young man, is unconstitutional, the school has insisted that it's rules supersede the young man's right to religious freedom and also his right to an education. Consequently, the family of Oheneba has decided to take legal action against the Achimota High School to end this discriminatory practice. The goal of this campaign is to raise money to help cover the legal costs that will be incurred by Oheneba's family as a result of the law suit. This includes hiring a lawyer to challenge the school's discrimination against Rastafari students. The funds are needed as soon as possible because Oheneba would like to have this traumatic episode settled in a timely manner so that he can get back to his studies, Your contribution will help not only Oheneba, but also other Rastafari students who are being subjected to similar discriminatory and dehumanizing practices by Achimota and other high Schools in Ghana. A ruling in favour of the young man will ensure that schools will no longer be allowed to deny any child the right to an education because his/her spiritual practice.
