Help us expand access to abortion care

Northeast Ohio Women's Center is expanding into Michigan and Pennsylvania.
Northeast Ohio Women's Center is an independent abortion provider. We have been providing abortion services to the people of Ohio and surrounding states since 2014. Last year we provided over 4500 abortions.
We are dedicated to preserving and expanding abortion access for everyone who needs this essential healthcare.
Abortions in Ohio are now illegal once a fetal heartbeat can be detected, known as the “Heartbeat Bill” (usually within two weeks after a missed period). As a result, Ohio’s Six-Week Abortion Ban is now in practice. This news surfaced on Friday evening, 6/24/2022, in the form of a ruling from a federal court judge, at the State’s request, who lifted the nearly three-year injunction on the law following the U.S. Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade on Friday morning, 6/24/2022.
Ohio's surrounding states are overwhelmed with patients from Ohio trying to find care. Unfortunately, with these out-of-state facilities being overwhelmed, Ohio patient access is limited.
Northeast Ohio Women's Center still provides patient care in our three Ohio locations, Cuyahoga Falls, Shaker Heights and Toledo. However, Ohio laws allow us only to treat patients before a "fetal heartbeat" is detected. This has resulted in a 50 % reduction in the patients we can help.
Expanding our services into Michigan and Pennsylvania will enable patients to access the critical care they need with minimal wait times.
We have been working hard with our attorneys and consultants to ensure that all laws and regulations are followed. In addition, we have secured a location in each state close to the Ohio border to minimize patient travel time.
