Help Ohms in Hawaii from Guitars on the Beach

Donation protected
Hi folks,

My name is Jay Westcott, I'm a photographer and guitar player in Arlington, Va. Someone dear to me, and to many guitar lovers around the world, lost everything in the fires in Lahaina, Maui. He's a guitar player like me, and when I was grieving the loss of a friend and laid up after my hip replacement in 2020, I started an Instagram account for my meager guitar collection and playing. Instagram suggested I follow his account, @ohmsinhawaii. As soon as I followed him, he reached out and thanked me for the follow. We instantly started a dialogue and became friends. We could chat for hours about guitars. I would send him music I was working on, pics of guitars I was considering. We have a mutual love of early 90s Fender Made in Japan "HRR" Stratocasters! His posts and videos, Guitars on the Beach, are about playing guitars, finding joy in music and guitars, and of course playing on the beach!

He lost everything in the fires. His car exploded. His home, and guitars, are dust. He only has his mobile phone and the donated clothes on his back. He's volunteering 6-8 hours every day at the Red Cross station. He said he's worried that supplies may run out next week.

I was in a rough patch and he was there for me with kindness, compassion and joy. I need to return that generosity of spirit and I would love for you to join me.

Mahalo!
