Help Oksana, Pancreatic Cancer Patient, on Her Journey Home
Donation protected
Dear friends and kind-hearted supporters,
My name is Ivan Andrusiak, and I am asking you to help support my mother, Oksana Kudliak. My mother is a 50-year-old woman and a newcomer. In April, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was misadvised to spend her savings to come to Canada for treatment. She was told that she would be able to receive better care and medication here. Unfortunately, upon arrival, her condition worsened from Stage 1 to terminal, and she was denied further treatments.
This, of course, was a shock for us. My mother was given only a few months left to live and would like to return home to be with her family. However, with fluids in her lungs, she requires oxygen and the care of a medical escort for the flight back to Ukraine. The total estimated expenses are CAD 35,000. I am doing everything I possibly can to help raise the funds, but as a newcomer myself I am facing a lot of challenges in raising such a large amount in a short time period. Please, if you are able to donate any amount to help my mother come back home it would be greatly appreciated.
Here is my mother's story in her own words:
Hello, my name is Oksana Kudliak, and I need your help. In April, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I went to Canada for treatment, but after two months, the doctors denied me further treatment and told me that chemotherapy is not an option. They said my time is limited. This has been very hard to accept.
I have never asked for financial help before, but now I must. I need to return home to be with my family—my father, sister, brother, husband, and friends. To do this, I need a special medical flight from Edmonton to Poland. Due to the situation in Ukraine, I will also need to find special transportation from Poland to Ukraine. This flight and additional transportation will cost anywhere from USD 17,000 - $25, 000 (~CAD 35,000) and includes oxygen support and a medical professional. I have been on oxygen for a week, and fluid was recently drained from my lungs.
I believe in miracles and the power of prayer. With God's grace and your help, I can return home.
Thank you for your prayers and support. I believe kind people will help me in this difficult time.
Oksana Kudliak
This situation is urgent, and your support can make a significant difference in her life. We aim to raise CAD 35,000 to cover all the expenses, ensuring she receives the care and comfort she needs during her journey home.
