Help single mom find a new home after the wind cyclone destruction.
Just hours into the bomb cyclone that his the Seattle area on Tuesday, Olga Roman and her three children were trapped in the debris of their home, hit by a giant evergreen tree. Olga, a single mom to an eight, eleven and a thirteen year old, was preparing for a power outage as the winds in the area started to pick up. The outdoor items were tied up, the candles and water were prepped in the kitchen. Olga was in the kitchen with her daughter as suddenly, a strong wind gust whirled past the house and was followed by a terrible screeching noise. The tree caught the power like first, causing complete darkness before splitting the house open and landing right through the house. Olga had to climb out through the debris, desperately screaming for her other two children trapped in another part of the house. Eventually, everyone was able to climb out of the rubble, though not without cuts, bruises and tears over their near death experience. The winds were later followed by lots of rain and the family was left without any furniture and some belongings. Olga supports her children by working as a nurse. She picks up extra shifts when she can to support her children. At this time, Olga is staying with friends and looking for a new rental for her family. The funds gathered here are crucial for Olga to make a deposit, first month rent payment, and purchases of basics belongings for her kids. This is especially hard as we move into the cold season. Your donation will help this family to put this dark night of terror behind them and start a new life in a safe place.
