Help Oli Kick Cancer's Butt

Hey there, everyone, my name is Kennady Basdekis-Morin, and I am trying to raise funds for our dog Oli's surgery to remove a Mast Cell Tumor that has formed on his front right leg. Because of the nature of Oli's tumor, we are being directed to see a specialist surgeon in Round Rock, Tx, at the Central Texas Specialty Veterinary Hospital, and we need to remove the tumor as soon as possible. After visiting the specialty vet today (June 14, 2023) and having been directed to administer steroids to Oli, we were informed that surgery and recovery cost roughly $3,500 to $4,000. The Dr. would ideally like to get Oli's surgery underway later this month, and we currently have $1360 aside for Oli's medical expenses.

Update 1: Unfortunately, another crisis arose for our blue nose pitty Zae. After rushing him to the vet twice for stomach-related issues like vomiting, lethargy, and loss of appetite, we found through blood work that he has tested positive for Lymphoma (June 21, 2023). The disease occurs suddenly and randoms and usually has no leading signs of what causes it. We have had to hospitalize Zae as of today (June 22, 2023) due to his calcium, kidney, and liver levels being hirer than usual. We were given prognosis treatment options, and the chemo plan that would help us buy anywhere from 4 months to a year with our Za-Zoo (Zae) comes between $4,000 and 8,000. This is already on top of the $2,000 we have spent to get him stable and in the starting stages of chemotherapy. If left untreated, Zae would have less than a month. I am a complete mess, feeling very deflated and unsure of the future. My babies are everything to me, and this whole process has been so painful and stressful, but still, I remain faithful - trying to find the light where I can.

Coming to you all in this time of need has been a struggle for me, as I know we are all going through things during this awkward time in history. Update: (June 30th, 2023)We have had quite a week. On Monday, June 26th, at 4 pm, we said our goodbyes to our beautiful, gentle giant Zae (Za-Zoo), who lost his battle with lymphoma. We are still entirely beside ourselves, trying to understand why and missing our sweet angel baby's big wet kisses with each passing day. Because Zae's cancer was so aggressive by the time it was diagnosed (June 21st, 2023), we spent the first $2,000 raised on his hospitalization, treatment, and, devastatingly, his departure. We hope to raise an additional $2,500 to cover Oli's procedure in mid-July. The procedure, known as Stelfonta, would kill all cancer cells within his Mast Cell Tumor by applying one shot to the tumor's site of origin. It will begin to eat away at the tumor and leave an open wound on Oli for about 15-20 days and heal itself over within a month. The procedure is half the surgery cost and will allow Oli to live cancer free. Thank you for your love and support as we maneuver this difficult time.
