Help Oliver Schelde get through this journey

Hi, my name is Julie and I am starting a fundraiser to help raise money for my daughter Mikaela & grandson Oliver.

On Tuesday October 31st. Oliver age 5, came home from school with a very sore body. He needed help getting into the car due to his hands and legs being so sore. A little while later while trying to get his halloween costume on Mikaela noticed Oliver's hand was swollen. So he was then brought to urgent care. When arriving at the urgent care Oliver's knees were swollen and he had a rash that was growing by the minute. They were sent over to the ER where more tests were ran. They were then sent home with no answers.

On Nov 1st, Oliver's swelling continued to grow and the rash kept spreading. Oliver was in so much pain he could not walk or even move. At the appointment his primary Dr diagnosed him with Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP).

A few days later Oliver could not lay, sit, or stand. Any time he would move he would wake up screaming in pain. Oliver was then seen in Duluth by a pediatric Dr who explained the HSP a little better.

After that Oliver started getting severe stomach pains. He could not move or talk it hurt to bad. He was then brought back to the ER where they ran more tests and saw he had Intussusception. From there he was then brought straight to Children's in St Paul by his Mom. Where he spent the weekend getting fluids and finding pain meds to help with the pain and swelling of his body.

Moving forward after that stay Oliver is going to the clinic once a week for testing and examination.

Wednesday November 22, Oliver went in for his weekly check up where they noticed protein in his urine had raised even more, and noticed inflammation in his blood work. About a hour after the appointment his primary Doctor called and told Mikaela to bring Oliver to Children's in Minneapolis that night. He has spent the last couple days there.

Friday November 24th Oliver got a Biopsy of his kidneys. They won't have answers for about a week. Now he is on a low liquid and low sodium diet.

He will still have weekly appointments with his primary as well as follow ups down in the cities every other week for the next couple months. At this time Oliver is currently needing 24hr care in the time of his healing. His mom, Mikaela Schelde has not left his side. Being a single parent she had to take a leave of absence from her job to take care of her son. She would greatly appreciate any help with gas, food, bills, and any other expenses.
