Help Oliver's Fight to Save His Leg

Hi, our names are Emily and Duncan, we’re reaching out on behalf of our beloved 11-month-old orange cat, Oliver. Oliver came into our lives just 9 months ago when we adopted him from the York SPCA, and he quickly became the heart and soul of our home.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Oliver had a terrible accident in the middle of the night. We rushed him to the emergency vet clinic, where we received the devastating news that he had broken his femur bone directly above his growth plate in his back leg. The prognosis was grim – without an expensive surgery, there was a high chance that Oliver would not heal correctly and his hind leg would need to be amputated.

The situation is urgent, and we are doing everything we can to save Oliver's leg and ensure his full recovery. However, the surgery he needs is complex, and only three animal surgeons in Lancaster have the expertise to perform it. The cost is substantial, and it's more than we can handle on our own.
