Help Olivia, Ann Arbor woman, avoid eviction
Donation protected
Olivia B. is facing potential eviction from her Ann Arbor home. After living in her home for six years, the management company stopped taking Olivia’s government rent voucher. With the help of the Fair Housing Center, Olivia filed a race complaint against the landlord. Then, without warning, the landlord stopped automatically withdrawing rent from Olivia’s account, making it more difficult for her to pay rent. They also raised Olivia’s rent by $100/month, adding to the difficulties the management company had already caused her.
Olivia has COPD and has survived three heart attacks and the stress caused by this situation has affected her condition. She needs help covering her utilities and rent to avoid becoming homeless while fighting for her rights.
Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated! Sharing this GoFundMe is also a huge help. All funds will go directly to Olivia.
Macey, the organizer of the fundraiser, is from the Fair Housing Center of Southeast & Mid Michigan which has helped Olivia fight for her housing rights.
