Help Olivia's Parents During Her Healing Journey
Donation protected
As some of you may know, our precious Olivia Renee was born a week ago and has had quite the journey in her first week of life, and there are still a lot of unknowns. From being born early, to not breathing on her own, having to be intubated, only to be flown by CareFlite to a children’s hospital, and having 2 major surgeries with very scary risks, to being told they’ve just about done everything they could do for her. No parents ever want to hear those words less than 24 hours after their child was born.
Thanks to God and to so many of you for your prayers, today she is getting better. Although, she is and will continue to be on assisted breathing until her heart and lungs are able to function on their own. Along with good progress, there also continues to be unexplained setbacks. The doctors have said don’t be surprised if we have a good day with an even harder bad day, it’s to be expected. Which has been super hard for us to hear/see.
Everything that can be done, is being done, but she still has a long road ahead of her before she is well enough to start the therapy she needs to reverse some of things that have happened during this time. Which means mama will have to take an unexpected, extended leave of absence from work. This wasn’t in the plans, and they will be out that second income for longer than anticipated in addition to all of the medical bills that are starting to add up. As many of us do, their home requires two incomes, so on top of everything else, things are about to get even tougher for these two parents.
All this mom & dad want to do is just be able to finally hold their baby girl, and be told they can take her home. I don’t want them panicking or stressing about anything else outside of that hospital.
I’d like to ask for continued prayers, because they are definitely being heard and if any of you would like to help me keep these already stressed, anxious and overwhelmed parents afloat for a little bit, it would be greatly appreciated. No one is trying to make a fortune off of this, I’m just trying help them stay on top and possibly get ahead of things so they can put all of their positive thoughts and energy into my beautiful granddaughter Olivia.
We continue to pray and hold on to faith that God's going to see us all through this and Miss Olivia will continue to heal so that mom, dad & her siblings can finally take her home!
Any and every donation or share of this GFM page is greatly appreciated.
Above all things, please continue to keep our precious Olivia Renee in your thoughts and prayers.
