Help (Oli) Michael Olanoff friend to all after accident

Hi I am Paul Menta and with my Friend Steve Eierman we re raising funds to help Olirecover from his accident after being hit by a drunk driver. FIRST- a huge THANK YOU. To Key West Fire and Emt’s who acted quickly and waived his leg and maybe his life!

Since 1991 Oli has been in Key West driving a cab and all met the love of his life Betty! 4 kids later and 7 grandchildern his Cab driving days are going to be on hold for 6-9 months at this point as his right foot which is very bad will need rehab will be extensive.

some back ground on this friend of ours. Some people just go and drive a cab and earn some money, for Oli It’s more about helping the community, getting people where they need to go with a friendly smile, making sure tourists get to the right place and also learn about something new and especially the locals who no matter maybe had one too many or got lost or we’re just having some problems, he gives advice and I’d known him to drive around for a long time trying to find somebody’s house to get them home safely. He’s a very kind hearted man and has been the same way and he’s only gotten better as time is going on. People depend on him , besides his family for his advice and kindness, which is what makes up this community and Key west. He is part of that soul that we all think sometimes is gone, but is alive and well in people like him. He does have quite a large family and a lot of responsibility , the unfortunate accident with a drunk driver will probably not be able to do anything for him financially for quite some time and he will have bills to pay. Now he would eat oodles and noodles or not eat at all just as long as he knows, his family is taken care of . This is why myself and Steve are kicking this off to ask the community to help this man who is given a lot in kindness and never asked for anything. I’m hoping the karma of his last 30 years and what he’s done for people will result in getting some funds for him to help him make it through until all this can be sorted. One thing about a GoFundMe page is this is not a competition if somebody gives $500 and another person gives five dollars it all counts. Whatever you can afford to give we put it in the big bucket from our community at the end will hit our goal and will know That we’ve helped one of our own helped many! Plus he never parks in the middle of the street with his cab or cuts you off…hahaha that should be an award in itself.
