Olympiad Gymnastics has been providing gymnastics in Delaware and serving the communities in the surrounding area for over 50 years. They are Delaware's longest running Gymnastics School, and for good reason – They Rock!! Some OG students have even come back as parents, passing the joy of gymnastics through generations, and as athletes get into their teen years many choose to volunteer and work in the gym with the younger children, helping to inspire and encourage the emerging dreamers. We, the OG parents and families, would love to see this tradition continue for another 50 years!
But OG is more than just a gym – it is a family. In addition to recreational classes and various team levels that practice weekly, there is also a group of gymnasts that choose to train over 30 hours a week while completing rigorous homeschool programs and spending up to ten hours a day away from home - all in the spirit of pursuing their dreams. The diverse group of coaches focus on the whole child, pushing them to reach their potential while encouraging them to be the best versions of themselves. They inspire the gymnasts to set goals and put in the hard work, and they are there to celebrate with them when they meet and exceed their own expectations of themselves! The athletes consider each other “sisters” and often refer to their coaches as family. This gym is more than just a gym for so many gymnasts and families; it is home.
You will not find another group of coaches and athletes with more passion, tenacity, and perseverance than in this gym. During the best and most trying times, the OG family has banded together and grown stronger together. Just like with most small business across the globe, COVID-19 has taken its toll on our gym. We want to see Olympiad not only survive, but THRIVE through this season of unrest. The pandemic has negatively impacted so many lives, families, and businesses. But keeping OG thriving ensures that at the very least, our children have a positive place to grow, exercise, and find some sense of normalcy where their lives aren’t completely thrown upside down.
Would you consider helping to ensure that Olympiad Gymnastics stays thriving for our children? Please share this link with all your friends and family, and anyone else that you think would be on board with supporting Olympiad. Thank you so much!
Please also take a minute to watch a video made by some of our awesome athletes during the pandemic. #OlympiadStrong
