Help Omar fight Biliary Atresia

My son needs to undergo a liver transplant in order to survive. I am donating part of my liver to him but sadly that is not enough. I need your donations to cover the expenses of this very expensive procedure...

 

I started this fundraising campaign to raise funds for my son Omar’s liver transplant. While there are numerous foundations meant to help with financing organ transplantation in the United States and other developed countries, there is a dire need for these services in the disadvantaged and underserved communities in the Middle East.


My Son Omar was born in Amman, Jordan with Biliary Atresia. A rare, but very serious condition in newborns, with an incidence of 1 in every 10,000 children, were the common bile duct between the liver and small intestines is either blocked or absent. Omar, now 7 years old, is in urgent need of a liver transplant.

While no price should be put on the life of a child, the quotation we received for his liver transplant was 70,000 USD. We have exhausted all possible avenues in procuring the necessary funds for his transplant. In the last couple of months, we have communicated with the designated government bodies that oversee the organ transplant system in Amman to attain a medical grant, sadly to no avail. We have been in contact with numerous hepatologists, pediatricians, and parents of children who have experienced what we are going through now and it seemed that all fingers were pointing towards a liver transplant and medical treatment in Turkey.

It is a blessing that I am a match and can donate part of my liver to my son. The only thing we need now is your help getting Omar the medical care he needs! I would like to conclude by noting that every penny counts. Your contribution no matter how small can make a big difference and give our son a chance to live the full and happy life every child deserves!

 

P.S. I have attached both pictures of Omar’s medical report from his doctor in Jordan and the cost summary provided to us by the hospital performing his operation in Turkey.

لا يخفى عليكم خلال الفترة الماضية التطورات الاخيرة فيما يتعلق بالوضع الصحي لابني عمر وضرورة خضوعه لعملية زراعة الكبد، سائلين الله العلي القدير أن يكتب له الشفاء التام وأن يحفظنا ويحفظكم ومن تحبون من كل مكروه . واشكركم على كل ما ابديتموه من اهتمام ومتابعة طيلة الاشهر الماضية.

 

 

خلال الاشهر الماضية تم التواصل ومراجعة الجهات الحكومية صاحبة الاختصاص كمراجعة الديوان الملكي ووزارة الصحة للحصول على موافقة لابتعاث ابني للعلاج بالخارج ولكن للاسف بعد محاولات كثيرة ومضنية كانت جميع تلك المحاولات بدون أي فائدة او جدوى تذكر . وتم التواصل مع عائلات وأهالي الاطفال الذين خاضوا نفس التجربة سابقا ومنّ الله سبحانه وتعالى على ذويهم بالشفاء نسال الله لهم تمام العافية والشفاء التام، وكانت جميع الاصابع تشير الى العلاج واجراء عملية زراعة الكبد في تركيا بالاضافة الى توصيات الاطباء ذوي الخبرة وممن يؤتمنون على النصيحة. وعليه تم التواصل مع المستشفيات التركية وتقدر تكلفة العملية حسب عرض السعر المرفق ب ($ 70,000) سائلين الله عز وجل ان يكلل هذا الطريق بما هو خير والشفاء التام وييسر ويدبر لنا أمرنا جميعا.

 

 

وبعد الإتكال على الله أتمنى أن تكون كلماتي هذه بمثابة مناشدة انسانية وطلب تقديم العون والمساعدة إن امكن كل حسب استطاعته وتطبيقا لقولة تعالى (وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا وَأَعْظَمَ أَجْرًا)."

ولقول النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم " والله في عون العبد مادام العبد في عون أخية .
