Help Omar's Family in Gaza

Hello kind souls,

I am Omar, a 27-year-old Palestinian from Gaza, a content creator aspiring to become a film director in the future. Today, I approach you with an urgent matter — a sincere plea for the safety and well-being of my family members, currently trapped in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Gaza is under relentless attack, and over 80% of its people are now displaced. My family, including my mother, father, sister, my five nieces/nephews, and my aunt whom my family takes care of are among the countless innocent victims desperately seeking safety amidst the chaos. As I am writing this, the Israeli tanks are only 1.5 kilometers away from my family's house. My father and sister need medical treatment regularly due to various illnesses, and they now need surgery. My family members are kind and hardworking, like all people in Gaza. My niece's dream is to become a medical doctor, so she can help people. She also told me her dreams of having a cute white pet dog, while another dreams of becoming a dentist. My nephew aspires to become a musician. They have dreams just like we all do. But now their lives are in danger and their future is uncertain. I need your help, so they can have a chance at life.

After living through three wars in Gaza and losing my best friend in the 2014 war, I decided to leave Gaza so I could have a future and be able to help my family from the outside. I now face the heartbreaking reality of my family enduring the horrors of war. The situation has worsened, and Israeli tanks are advancing, forcing my family, like many others, to abandon their home. My family's home is now damaged and inhabitable. I cannot bear the thought of losing them, just like I lost my best friend in the 2014 war.

I had plans to reunite with my family in November 2023 after six long years. Everything was already planned out. My mother promised to bring me olives from our olive trees in our yard when we meet again. But the war disrupted everything. And guess what, she is still holding onto the olives she promised to give me. Now, their safety and survival is at stake. Gaza is currently facing bombings, famine, and the spreading of diseases. I need your help with providing my family with necessities, medical treatment and rebuilding my family's whole life again, including their home.

I need your help with providing medical treatment, and surgery for my father, sister, and niece. My niece needs eye surgery, and my father and sister require medical treatment and surgery unavailable in Gaza. They need to go to Egypt for treatment, which is extremely costly and difficult at this time.

This appeal is time-sensitive and urgent. The war's duration is uncertain, and the situation is changing every day. Your support is crucial to ensuring the survival and well-being of my family, as every passing hour is a gamble with their lives.

As a Palestinian deeply affected by this assault, I've been following the news, social media footage, and information for the past 100 days, struggling to sleep, focus, or work. This situation has taken a toll on my well-being, but my family's safety is the most important. I'm reaching out for help, a lifeline, to help them survive.
