Help Omodamola Finish His Final Year of Uni at Cardiff Met
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
My name is Olaseni and I’m asking for your support in helping a hardworking and determined young man, Omodamola Adeneye, complete his university education.
Damola’s Journey
Damola came to the UK in 2021 as a foundation year student, full of ambition and hope for a better future. His parents, who ran a small ponmo (processed cow skin) business in Nigeria, worked tirelessly to support him despite their modest income. At the same time, Damola took on multiple jobs—working the maximum 20 hours per week during term time and endless hours during his vacations—just to make ends meet.
For the past three years, I have personally managed Damola’s finances, ensuring that his tuition was always paid on time. Through sheer determination, hard work, and his parents’ sacrifices, he was able to pay £12,000 per year in tuition, amounting to £36,000 so far.
The Struggles He Faces Now
Sadly, the economic situation in Nigeria has deteriorated drastically since Damola first arrived in the UK. His parents’ business completely collapsed, leaving them unable to support him. In fact, Damola has even had to send money back home just to help them survive, despite struggling himself.
With no financial support and rising living costs, Damola could no longer afford his rent while still paying tuition. Over the past year, I have had to accommodate him in my home so he could continue his education.
To pay for the 2023/2024 academic year, he had to take out a loan from a family friend in the UK, which he is now repaying in monthly installments from his wages. With only 20 hours of work allowed during term time, every penny he earns is going toward repaying that loan—leaving him unable to save for his final year tuition.
Why We Need Your Help
Damola has come so far and worked so hard, but after all the sacrifices, he is now at risk of not finishing his degree simply because he cannot afford his final year tuition for 2024/2025.
He has exhausted every possible option—his parents cannot help, he is already repaying a loan, and despite his relentless work ethic, he simply cannot raise tuition and pay off his debt at the same time.
We are raising funds to cover his last tuition payment so that he can graduate and finally see the reward of his hard work. Every penny donated will go directly into his tuition account, and I, as someone who has managed his finances since he arrived in the UK, will oversee the process to ensure full transparency.
How You Can Make a Difference
No amount is too small—every contribution brings him closer to the finish line. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign within your network will help Damola get the support he needs.
Damola has never stopped fighting for his education. Let’s come together and help him cross this final hurdle. Your kindness and generosity will not just change one life—it will empower him to give back and help others in the future.
Thank you for your support.
