Help Ondi and Morgan. They Lost Their Home in the Eaton Fire

Update on Ondi & Morgan’s Recovery Journey:
Ondi and Morgan just returned to LA and are heartbroken not to be able to go home. Also, the reality of what they are facing has become clearer: initial assessments are showing that the recovery process will take at least 3 years to even begin to recover what they have lost.
As documentarians and musicians, they lost not just their home but irreplaceable footage, family archives, all their cameras and instruments, and every sentimental and priceless item you can think of. They lost their history and future work, all carefully collected over years…overnight. So we’re raising our goal because we now better understand the scope of what they are facing, and we know they can’t do it alone.
Your love and support has meant everything to them. Thank you for standing with them during this challenging time.
Our friends Ondi, Morgan, and Juki lost their beautiful Altadena home in the Eaton Fire, along with everything they own: footage from Ondi’s many films (DIG!, MAPPLETHORPE, LAST FLIGHT HOME) and hundreds of hours of footage for upcoming films, all their archives, camera and recording equipment, art, clothes, books, awards, and every other possession. Morgan has lost all her rare, historic instruments, and original works-in-progress. Ondi has lost drives with decades' worth of footage, journals, and equipment essential to continuing her work as a storyteller. Our hearts are with Ondi, Morgan, Juki, and their beautiful dogs, Bellatrix and Cymbal.
It was a gorgeous gathering place for friends and family but really for their larger community, with outdoor screenings under the stars and community swim parties... Here's a video of what their beautiful home looks like now.
Like so many reeling from this ongoing disaster, Ondi and Morgan stand by—hoping that the government and what insurance they do have will help them rebuild their lives and their home. In the meantime, they’ve obviously lost the tools they need to continue working.
If you can make a contribution to help Ondi and Morgan as they try to navigate a path forward, we hope you’ll consider it and please share this link far and wide. They make beautiful and important work. Let’s help them continue to do that.
We’ve set a goal of $50,000 to help them buy enough basic items to be able to make their work again… it’s at least a start to getting them back on their feet.
