Mission

One K9 Corp is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and preventing veteran suicide. Partnering with the Governors Challenge and collaborating closely with the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA) and the VA, our mission is to provide essential assistance to veterans, their families, and caregivers across Indiana and beyond.

Founding Story

Established in June 2021 by two combat veterans—one from the Navy and one from the Marines—One K9 Corp was born out of a shared tragedy: the loss of a close friend to the veteran suicide epidemic. Determined to make a difference and promote change, our founders joined the Governors Challenge initiative and embarked on a mission to save lives within their community and beyond.

Service Dogs

Central to our efforts is our specially trained service dogs. Each dog undergoes rigorous training by certified, accredited dog trainers to meet AKC standards for working dogs. These animals are meticulously selected and trained to assist veterans in their daily lives, particularly during PTSD episodes and flashbacks.
