Help Send Hyacinth Home to Nigeria

Hyacinth & Ngozi Elem brought so much joy to our congregation after moving to the U.S. from Nigeria a few years ago. They shared wisdom through life experience and knowledge of the Bible, and they introduced us to songs of praise from Nigeria. Hyacinth became a song leader who led the congregation with reverence and passion.

Over the past year, Hyacinth’s unexpected health issues grieved all of us. We missed seeing him and Ngozi sitting in their front-row pew, we missed their calm and joyful presence, and we missed their voices raised in song. Hyacinth passed away March 16, 2025.

Hyacinth’s health issues put a financial strain on his daughter Onyi, who has been supporting her parents financially as well as physically. His passing has increased the financial burden.

Hyacinth wished to be buried in Nigeria, where his other children and grandchildren reside. This process will cost $11,300.
