Help Save Onyx - Fighting Bone Cancer

It started with subtle limping, and like any devoted pet parent, I hoped it was just a minor muscle issue or a sprain. But as the days passed, Onyx's condition worsened, and my heart sank as I realized something far more sinister was at play. A visit to the vet and a crushing X-ray later, the world came crashing down around me – Onyx has bone cancer in his front limb, and it has already spread to his lungs.

Onyx, my sweet, loving light, has been an irreplaceable part of our lives, touching the hearts of all who know him, especially his sister Luna and me, his mommy. At just 7 1/2 years old, he still has so much love and life to give, and the thought of losing him is unbearable.

The cancer's aggressive progression means we are past the point of amputation or chemotherapy. But my mission is clear – I am determined to make every moment count, to fill the time he has left with love, comfort, and joy. I dream of watching him run on the beach or taking peaceful walks together, but his condition demands urgent and expensive intervention.

I have already begun exploring holistic remedies, adjusting his diet, and providing him with CBD to ease his pain. However, these measures alone won't be enough to manage his discomfort or halt the tumor's growth.

To ensure Onyx receives the best possible care, I have an upcoming appointment with an oncologist. Testing and radiation therapy will be crucial, but they come with a significant financial burden. Additionally, there is a promising vaccine that has shown remarkable results in stopping metastasized cancer in its tracks, potentially granting Onyx precious extra years with us. The hope is palpable, but this treatment requires us to travel out of state and comes with substantial costs.
