Help Opal get the surgery she needs

Our sweet Opal has been diagnosed with Chiari malformation with a Syrinx which requires surgery to drain the Syrinx and also much more extensive surgical procedure to fix the malformation. This has been an incredibly difficult time for Kendra and Shawn and of course sweet little Opal, but we are hopeful that this surgery will give her the relief she needs and allow her to live a happy, healthy life.

Unfortunately, the financial burden is overwhelming with a hefty total out-of-pocket amount and mounting medical bills from imaging, doctor visits, and ongoing care from 2024. Additionally, her mother, Kendra, will need to take time off work to care for Opal during her recovery, adding even more financial strain. Not to mention being in the middle of a house remodel and Kendra being due with their 3rd baby in August.

Kendra and Shawn are asking for your help to cover:
