Help Children in South Africa To A Better Life
Donation protected
Update:
SO EXCITED THAT WE HAVE REACHED OUR GOAL!! I am not taking any more donations at this time.
I am blown away by all yours generosity and can't thank you enough. With many helpers we have created a huge difference in many South African children's lives.
We have provided the following:
- 70 School Uniforms for orphans and for the most poor children that can't afford a school uniform so they are now able to attend school as school uniform is law in South Africa (see more details below).
- 16000 litres of water for the Khulani disabled school that have an incredibly shortage of water. They need to wash sheets and towels every single day because many children soil their beds over night so we also provided them with loads and loads of towels and bed sheets.
- Sports project:
The amazing woman, Dorah, has started a sports academy for girls! The government only funds sports up until they turn 16, after that there are only funded sports for boys so the girls have nowhere to play, nowhere to go and suddenly no hobbies when they turn 16. This often results in teen pregnancies, HIV-AIDS, sexual abuse and even drugs and alcohol abuse. This is why Dorah has started a community sports program for 16 years and over for girls ONLY in netball, rugby, athletics and soccer.
She already has 60 girls just playing netball and over 100 more girls who play the other sports. There is so much interest but they don’t have any money for the equipment like jerseys, shoes, balls, bibs and other equipment needed, even transport and clean water for the girls so with some of the money donated from you amazing people, I will be using it towards this project.
Sports has been a huge part of my life so this program spoke so much to me and helping young girls to a better life - working on teamwork, staying healthy and strong. The program is also planning on bringing in nurses and other women to speak to the girls about practicing safe sex, teaching them about contraception and even tutoring in school subjects. This woman is so beautiful volunteering her own time to build up this academy ❤️
With the money raised from you beautiful people, we have now provided this amazing project with:
- 12 netballs
- 20 netball skirts with tights
- 20 netball tops
- 20 netball bibs
- 20 water bottles
- 2 whistles
- 2 ball bags
- 10 soccer balls
- 42 sets of soccer tops, shorts and socks
- 120 t-shirts
- 60 pairs of running shoes to girls WHO HAVE NEVER HAD A PAIR OF RUNNING SHOES BEFORE ❤️

In October, I am traveling to South Africa and will be visiting the Under Four Trees Schools to help children in the nearby community attend these schools.
By law, in South Africa, students must wear a school uniform to attend school but many students cannot afford this and therefore are unable to attend school. 320 children at this school don't have any parents and if they are lucky enough to get a school uniform, many times this is the only clothing they own so they get dirty and ripped.
For just $13 AUD (80kr or €7.50) you can buy a school uniform for one child to attend school. The school also feeds the children so you will also be helping a child to eat.
It is not a lot of money for us but can change a life of a child.
The second school we will be helping, is for children with disabilities where the school provides boarding for the children as well. Many of these children get sexually assaulted or left by themselves for over 9 hours, when they are not at the school so therefore they provide boarding to help prevent this.
Since I will be traveling there myself, 100% of this fundraising will go to the children in need. I will be buying the school uniforms myself and giving them to the children. I will be showing our trip on our Instagram stories @babylunoshop for you to follow along to see what your donation will help.
Thank you so much for any donation that you feel like you can make. You are helping change lives ❤️
