Help Oruã tour in US
Donation protected
Since 2019, I've been touring the world in countries far from my own. During my last tours with Oruã in the United States and Europe between August 2022 and June 2023, we played approximately 120 shows in more than 10 countries.
My album "Aulas" and our last album with Oruã "Íngreme", released in 2020 and 2021 respectively, were only released on vinyl after our last tour. Within a social sphere not often explored by us there is the fact that every time we go to the United States we spend a lot of money on our work visas and airline tickets.
Recently, in 2024, we were initially going to the United States in March, but we don't have the money to pay for a visa for Phill Fernandes, our new drummer who is returning to Oruã (Karin remains our friend and loving sister of sound and soul).
In order to return to touring in the United States, specifically next summer, we need to pay for a new visa for Phill (which alone costs 4,000) and some fees for renewing my, Bigú's and João's visas. In addition to these costs, we also need airline tickets. The amount we are asking for in this campaign is enough for us to be able to travel to the US and work in peace. During the last few trips, we've spent hours at a time doing accounts and crunching numbers to try to return home with at least something that would allow us to survive for a while.
We don't have any kind of sponsorship, patronage or other entities. We make our show go around the world on its own two legs, even though we live in a country that is socially unequal and artistically dominated by nepotism.
This campaign is aimed at audiences outside Brazil. Perhaps the same audiences that have attended more than 100 Oruã concerts in recent years. Here in Brazil, we need work, good gigs so that my musician friends and I can play with decent fees.
This campaign could define the course of our lives in the coming months.
I warmly invite all the people who have always admired my work to collaborate and spread this message.
