Help Osama evacuate Gaza and continue his studies

My name is Osama and I am from Gaza.

Here in Gaza, we continue to be killed every day in this never ending genocide. My family and I have been forced to evacuate three times, and each move has been more difficult on us than the last. Many loved ones have been pleading with me to leave my home and go somewhere safer, at least back to Turkiye to finish the degree that I started. But the idea of leaving is not easy at all! How could I leave my family and my people behind while they are being killed each passing hour? If you had asked me even a week ago about leaving I would have refused. But everything has changed for me in such a bad way.

There’s a time when you come to realize that in this world, money controls everything in your life. My family as a whole is not able to leave Gaza due to many reasons, so I was chosen to leave between my family members. The concept of leaving my family is difficult and painful, but that is what we agreed on, given that it means at least one from our family will have the chance to stay alive. At least one of us may have the chance to tell the story of my family and my people.

We have started this campaign in order to collect the funds for me to leave through the border with Egypt. If I am unable to do so, then whatever money we’ve collected will be used for daily life expenses for myself, family, and friends here in Gaza. The scarcity has driven prices of food and daily necessities so high that Gaza is currently considered one of the most expensive places on Earth.

It’s hard to have hope in anything right now, but I hope for this genocide to come to an end! Until then, each donation is appreciated so much and any amount will help us.
