Help Oscar get Gender Reaffirming Care

Hello! My name is Oscar, and I'm a 20-year-old musician from Waterford, Ireland. I am currently on the waiting list from the National Gender Clinic, but I have been taken on and off that list for the majority of my teenage years, with no results. I have been struggling with gender dysphoria since I was twelve years old, and I came out publicly in 2023.

Trans healthcare is a serious issue in Ireland, and it has been statistically proven that people on the waiting list for the National Gender Clinic can wait up to 10 years. If I were to wait that long, it would be coming up to my 31st birthday. With these funds, I will be able to afford a solicitor to be recognised legally as a man, along with private treatment and eventual surgery. I do not have insurance for health care, and the medical card covers nothing to do with gender-reaffirming treatment (consolations, hormones, etc.).

It is my dream to finally let my body reflect who I am in my mind. As sad as it is to turn to a crowdfunding website for help, and I am not the type of person to ask for help in the first place, this is what I have always wanted, since I was a kid.
