Hi there. My name is Denis Gansonkov, some of you may know me as the longtime owner and fixture of Ossington Stop that until a recent abrupt end was serving, and promoting Russian culture, and hospitality on Dundas west. Some of you don't know me and here is a little bit of my story and the events that led me to be in this situation.

Unfortunately due to recent conflict with city of Toronto fire Marshall (after working steadily without breaking any rules or regulations for almost 7 years) the fire Marshall has single handedly closed the business by leaving me no choice but to look for a new space.
With the uncertainty of current times, global pandemic and limited financial ability I am forced to ask anyone who is willing to help me find a new home for our little Russian bar.
It is not something I ever considered, but after exhausting all other avenues (unfortunately my situation did not allow for government help largely due to a new corporation that I had to open and register the business under after lengthy legal battle with my former partners' estate, which ended messy, which is why I had to start from scratch) I had to admit that this looks like my only option and I will be beyond grateful for this help as it will give me a chance, to relocate the business, purchase equipment and renovate the space to better serve all of you going forward. As well as securing a lease, given how despite the pandemic, hospitality market is far from affordable.
Your support in these times would mean the world to me. There is nothing more than I want right now, but to be back behind a stove, cooking the food that brought many of us together and giving back to you as much as I can.
My timeline is to vacate the premises at 1164 Dundas by the end of the month, I am actively searching the market, everyday, to try to find a home for for the Stop. And I believe with that with with your help we will be able to secure a space for our bar/restaurant in the nearest future.
Sincerely, Denis Ganshonkov
