Help Our All-Girls Robotics Team Go Provincial!

Be a champion for girls and women in STEM! Help this scrappy, small-town all-girls team pay for the registration fee to compete in Provincial Championship. Help them show Ontario and the world the tenacity, creativity, and skills that girls and women can bring to this male-dominated field.

The Amazon Warriors is the first and only all-girls robotics team in Windsor-Essex County, and one of only three all-girls teams in Ontario, Canada. As a small community team that started in 2018, it relies entirely on volunteer mentors and small donations and sponsorships. Each year, the team must design, program, and build a robot that is able to perform the specified requirements, and then compete with and against other teams from around the world in regional, provincial, and international events organized by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).

This season, the Amazon Warriors placed as Regional Finalists, and won the prestigious Gracious Professionalism Award. And for the first time ever, they have qualified for the Ontario-wide Provincial Championship based on their robot's performance and team merits.

The girls are super excited, their robot has been polished, but they lack the funds to register for the event.
