Tragic fire! Help us! Our Baby brother! And Mum!

Hi, my name is Kaitlan and I am fundraising for our Mum and baby brother on behalf of our family who have recently had our world turned upside down.

 

My darling baby brother and my Mum were in a horrific house fire earlier this week. They are both in induced comas in hospital intensive care being treated for critical burns. Our sweet baby brother has 60% of his tiny body burnt and his body has 3rd and 4th degree burns. His beautiful face and hands have 4th degree burns which is extremely rare for children. Doctors have said he is going to have a lifelong relationship with the burns unit and will never look the same again. He is fighting every day for his life and we are so proud of him. Our Mum also has 3rd and 4th degree burns and will also be affected for life. It is extremely difficult to even write this but sometimes as hard as it is you need to ask for help. So that is what I am doing. 

 

I want everyone to know that the heroes are my Mum and young siblings.

 

Mum is a single mother who has been raising the kids all on her own since they were born. She is a superwoman! My little brother is the sweetest most charismatic baby boy in the world. They are both so strong and are fighting every day. As Mum is currently in a coma, I am the one here with my baby brother at the hospital every day since the incident.

 

I know this is what Mum and the family needs, so that’s why I am here. We all need to keep praying and putting positivity into the world! So please anything at all will help honestly whatever you can spare. If you can’t donate put positivity into the world and universe and keep wishing for a miracle. 

 

When they get better, which they will! They do not have a home to go back to, nor do my other siblings. Everything was lost or damaged in the fire, we are still not able to enter but have been told that there were people looting the home. All of the kids' toys, the clothes, the furniture everything ruined. We need help to rebuild their lives. We need help to take the pressure off Mum when she gets better so that she can look after the children and herself.

 

It is going to be a long road of recovery and many surgeries but we will get through it. Our baby boy is a fighter and the strongest boy in the world! Mum too!

 

As you can imagine our family is very financially strained and it is all extremely overwhelming. Our family needs help to keep going. I have had to stop working, for now, to be here for my baby brother as Mum is in a bad way too, so we also need help just staying afloat. We want to get clothes for the kids and make their lives as smooth as possible while their only sole parent is in a critical condition. We also need funds for when our little guy and Mum are better. We want to not only make Mum's life as smooth as possible, but our precious baby’s too. We want to make his life as easy as possible, spoil him with love, gifts and be able to take him where ever it is he wants to go. 

We don’t know the future but also whatever medical expenses and travel expenses that come up. There is so much stress and worry, and money is the last thing we want on our minds but of course it all adds up when we think about what we can do.

 

We love them so much and want them to be okay and give them all the love and support we can.

 

There are so many things to think about in this situation and I am sure we haven’t begun to cover them all. Getting the best help for them is something we are so lucky to have with the amazing doctors, nurses, and healthcare here in Australia.

 

If anyone is able to donate anything at all to help our family during this time of crisis it would be greatly appreciated. We never thought we would experience something like this. It’s a huge shock and curveball in our lives. I am in tears as I write this and I wish with all my heart that it was not real. 

Continue to stay positive and put love into the world. They are so strong and we will make it through this hard time with support, love, and care.
