Help Our Barlow Employees!

Hey y’all! We are starting this platform as our small neighborhood bar, The Barlow, has been closed to the public along with countless others amid the Covid19 crisis.

Although we just opened up last year, thanks to an amazing show of support from the wonderful people in our neighborhood, we have come to feel so at home in our community. Sadly, however, and due to Coronavirus precautions, our staff is out of work during these wack-ass times.

As bartenders, we rely almost entirely on the bonds formed between ourselves and our patrons - a cosmic balance on both sides; a tapestry woven and maintained through anecdotes, laughter, commiseration, camaraderie, and communication.

We love to provide you a relaxing outlet after your stressful day at work. You trust us with the music, the ambiance, the libations.. some of you trust us with your secrets, some ask advice, and some just need an ear, a shoulder. Whatever brought you to us, know that many of us in the Service Industry chose our jobs because we love to see you enjoying your life.

However, as natural caregivers, we are not used to asking for help from you in this way!

All donations we receive from you will go directly to our staff. You will help them to maintain health, food, rent, pets, transit, bills, and the faith in one another we all share by displaying our brightest humanitarian qualities in these dimly lit times.
