Help Our Beautiful Honey come Home

Hi my name is Emma, I am hoping to help my sister Katie and her family in their time of need. Please read their story.....

Honey is almost 2 years old, she is a beautiful and gentle cockapoo. She is the center of the family and is especially adored by the children Belle (3) and Riley (1)

Last week, in the doorway of their home as my sister katie prepared to leave the house with Honey for their evening stroll, sweet honey was savagely mauled in an unprovoked attack by the neighbouring German shepherd.

My sister will never get the images or sounds of her little dog being thrown around like a toy out of her head. My sister was so brave in defending her dogs life and managed to free honey from the Germans shepards Jaws, but unfortunately honey has sustained some horrific injuries.

Honey is hospital and undergoing her second surgery today, as you can imagine the vet bills are pilling up, as it stands we are expecting a new bill of around £8,000

The owner of the German shepard has not accepted any responsibility nor is willing to contribute to treatment costs. While my sister has insurance for honey only £2,000 was covered.

My sister is not one to ask for help and is usually the one helping others, I have encouraged her to let me do this for her. This event has made her so unwell with stress worry and trauma and her family.

They were due to fly out on their holiday tonight but have had to prospone making things really difficult for katie, trying to explain to a 3 year old who has been counting down the sleeps untill she gets on a plane that they can no longer go and to explain where her dog is eveyday and if she is coming home. My sister is feeling all the emotions, physically mentally and emotionally. She's exhausted.
