Help Our Beloved Christine through Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
This GoFundMe is about one of my employees, Christine. This woman is an essential worker, a social worker who has been dedicated in her field for decades. She works within 4 counties, Indian River, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Martin County Florida with children aged 5-18 as well as adults. She not only works full time for Helping People Succeed but additionally works as a social worker at another community mental health facility. She is a mother, is currently raising 3 gorgeous granddaughters and has 2 ill parents. She has helped her family and every person she works with physically, emotionally and financially. There is not enough one can say about her unwavering dedication to her family, her community and our facility. Christine lives for others and always has.
Christine suffered a stroke on Monday, December 28, 2020. She currently has an inoperable blood clot in her brain due to severe swelling. Her speech, coordination and executive movements have been effected at this time. The plan was surgery then to go to a rehabilitation facility locally. Now we wait for the swelling to decrease and a possible move to rehab ASAP.
I need people to know how important she is to myself, my team of 30 in our community children's mental health department, our entire Helping People Succeed Organization, her client's and their families as well as her own family. She never takes a day off, never complains and would never ask for anyone to give her a nickel. It is my personal mission and that of my department to assist Christine in her journey to recovery with the least amount of worry, burden and pain possible. I know 2020 has not been a good year for many and you taking the time to help this beautiful soul is appreciated beyond recognition. I wish all to leave a message of encouragement and anything will help. Happy New Year to you all!
