UPDATE***Our beloved Joe has passed and earned his angel wings. We are now redirecting his gofundme to getting him from Richmond VA home to Chicago and giving him a proper burial. *Original message: We are Joseph Gonzalez children reaching out to friends and family for support and help. Our father Joe was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver a few years ago. Unfortunately, his health has taken a turn for the worst and he is now in a Richmond VA hospital fighting for his life! He is currently awaiting to be relocated to a transplant hospital that specializes in liver transplants. Unfortunately, life around him continues to go on and bills and medical expenses continue to add up for him & his family.

Our dad is a very private and honoree person. He is a man who would take the shirt off his own back for others, but is not one who ever likes to ask for help. But we, his children believe the time has come to reach out. Joe is loved and respected by many. He has always been a man to help others and make you laugh when needed. So we are asking if friends, family, loved ones can and would like to show their support to Joes rising medical expenses, we would greatly appreciate it! Any amount would help.
