Help Our Cat ZZ Survive Kidney Failure

Dear friends,

On August 29th, late at night, my partner Amber and I found our beloved cat ZZ collapsed on the floor and unable to put weight on her paws.

We rushed ZZ to the vet hospital. She was diagnosed with acute kidney failure and went inpatient to be put on fluids and antibiotics.

ZZ is recovering slowly and has started eating again, but she has a ways to go before she can come home.

The overnights at the vet hospital are incredibly expensive, as I’m sure many of you have experienced. Amber and I are having to make very difficult decisions with money and ZZ’s treatment right now.

We want to do everything we can for our baby, but we are running out of options financially with every additional night she has to spend at the hospital. We may not be able to save her if treatment costs far exceeds our means, so we’re asking for your help.

It’s been a very hard year for Amber and me. Our sweet, feisty ZZ has helped us get through so much: a major car crash, a robbery at a gas station, wallet theft, identity theft, COVID, death and loss in our families, a stolen catalytic converter, and another emergency vet visit in March, which cost $4,000 at the time.

My birthday is in a few weeks, and truly all I want is to get to spend another year with my favorite little weirdo cat.
