Help our community member get back on his feet.

(Intro)

Hey everyone so my name is Kyle Lanphere, I run a small YouTube channel called (RedWolf EDC) and I have been an active member of the edc community for about 14 years now. A few months ago I did a random charity giveaway where I asked members of our community to nominate someone within the community that had a positive influence on them, it started out as a $200 giveaway for one person but you all had such touching stories that I ended up picking 4 additional winners because the out pouring of love for their fellow man was just beautiful and something truly special.

Now I am telling you all this to illustrate one simple point, I do not ask people for help, ever. I freely give it whenever possible but i do not ask for it. I'm writing this from a hospital bed with several broken bones and a few other severe Injuries I will not name. Even still I am not asking for help for me, I am asking you all to help my friend and If my prideful stubborn ass is asking, you know it's for a good cause.

(The Heart of the matter)

My friend Mike Piccola recently had several rods and supportive structures in his back break, as shown in the X-Ray you can physically see his spine no longer properly attached and has slumped over. He cannot walk properly, he cannot move properly and he cannot bend or reach at all.

Mike is currently selling everything he owns to pay for a surgery, a surgery that will have significant risk even if everything goes smoothly and a significant recovery time before mobility is restored. Mike and his family are not rich, both medical bills and the day to day bills we all deal with will pile up, all the small things add up and become to much for any one person to bear alone.

So why should you give your hard earned money to help this man out? Honestly that is something that only you can answer for yourself and I'm not here to convince you.

I will however tell you why I am writing this and what this man means to me.

(My plea)

Throughout this journey that we call life everyday we meet people, we say hello and we say goodbye to lovers, partners, co workers, best friends and absolute strangers but very few of them will ever have any meaningful impact on your life.

Mike is my friend but more importantly he is my friend who has never asked for a favor, never asked for anything free or for a discount, he is my friend that is always there when some nonsense has me up in arms and I want to go hurt someone. He is a genuinely good person and in recent years a good person is a dying breed.

I did not tell Mike that I am making this and if I did he would tell me not too because Mike doesn't ask for miracles or for favors, he doesn't ask for anything, he only gives, he doesn't take.

He goes out of his way to help strangers, he volunteers his time to help the community and even with all this he still finds time to listen to me rant about whatever is going on in my life. Mike's kind heart and never ending postive attitude have had a genuinely meaningful impact on my life.

I hope every person who reads this is fortunate enough to have a friend like Mike in their life, so please help me help someone who truly deserves it.

Let's raise him up so he can stand straight again.
