Help Our Dad Make His Home Wheelchair Accessible

Donation protected
The Bertoch kids are asking for your help to raise money for our Dad. In June Mathew was unexpectedly hospitalized due to a bleed on his spinal chord. The bleed caused paralysis in his body from the chest down which resulted in permanent nerve damage. After an emergency surgery and five weeks of intensive physical therapy he is ready to come home. Due to the extent of his injuries Mathew will be coming home in a wheelchair which has necessitated a new home for our mom and dad. They have sold their house and are relocating to a home that is all one level to better accommodate his wheelchair. Their new home is in need of some changes to better meet his needs. They are hoping to add a ramp to allow easy access in and out of the house as well as a new master bathroom shower that will be able to accommodate a wheelchair. Anything you are willing to give will help our family immensely as Mathew will not be able to return to work due to his injuries and his intensive physical therapy regimen. Our faith is strong that he will continue to recover and we are so grateful for the continued love and support given to our family as we adjust to these changes.
