Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out on behalf of a very special person in our lives, Eugene Ananiev. Many of you know Eugene as the compassionate and skilled surgical scrub tech at Mount Sinai, who has dedicated his career to ensuring the safety and care of patients undergoing surgery. What you might not realize is how many lives Eugene has touched, possibly even the lives of people you love, with his commitment and professionalism in the operating room.

Recently, Eugene received a diagnosis that none of us were prepared for—an aggressive cancer that has put his life on pause. What started as a routine test for difficulty swallowing, turned out to be an aggressive cancer which had spread to other parts of the body.

This news hit us hard, especially given Eugene's dreams for the future and his love for life. Eugene - a vibrant, kind-hearted soul, full of dreams and aspirations, is now facing the battle of his life. The reality of cancer treatment is not just daunting emotionally but also financially.

Eugene is facing a series of treatments and an aggressive chemotherapy regimen that is truly debilitating. If you know Eugene, he's the type of person who would never ask for help himself, despite truly needing it now more than ever. He'll be missing work for an undetermined amount of time, adding to the financial strain. It's the reason why I am reaching out to you, our community, our extended family, to help raise $100,000 to support Eugene’s fight for his life.

This fund will go towards covering medical expenses and day-to-day living costs, allowing him to focus solely on recovery without the added stress of financial burden.
