Help our EMS family.

Hey everyone. For those that don’t know me, my name is Justin. I am starting this fundraiser for my full time partner and sister from another mister, Katie. Katie is in need of our EMS family to rise up and help out. I know we’ve done it before, so I know we can do it again.
So here’s the situation. As most of you know, Katie has been out of work for quite some time thanks to having a major heart surgery to remove many blood clots. This has caused her to have to use up all of her savings account moneys to pay her bills for the 5 months she was out of work. Katie then tried to come back to work last week because she is completely out of funds to pay the bills. Unfortunately, while we were on shift on Friday, as we were turning over patient care for a psych patient, Katie started heavily bleeding. After the bleeding started, so did the intense cramping. Luckily we were at Grady Hospital. So we got her registered and after she was evaluated, she was ruched into emergency surgery. During this, the doctors had discovered that she had an ectopic pregnancy that’s was in the right fallopian tube. On the good news side, they were able to remove the ectopic and repair the tube. On the bad news side, Katie is now having to stay in the hospital for a few days, then stay home even longer. As aforementioned, she is now out of money and won’t be able to pay rent or utilities this month. She is so desperately afraid that she and her 9 year old daughter are going to be evicted from their home. She is holding that this fundraiser will be able to get enough money to pay the rent and utilities, but she is worried that there won’t be enough people that know her. She believes that only a few people are supporting her in the process at the moment. So please share this with your family and friends so that we can show Katie that this EMS family is much larger that she thinks. Please donate any amount that you can so she doesn’t have to worry about losing her home or anything else.
P. S. Please check back here for updates in the healing process. As of now, she is still in the hospital. The doctors are keeping her so that they can stabilize her hemoglobin and pain.
