After 17 years of running Fat Boy Burgers, we are devastated to share that we have to close our doors. For nearly 75 years, this little restaurant has been a cherished part of the Grand Rapids community, and we have loved every moment of serving you.

The past five years have been incredibly tough. We were hit hard by the pandemic, forcing us to use our life savings to stay afloat. Just as we started to recover, we faced ongoing challenges — from struggling to find staff to the impact of road construction that cut our business by 70%, and now the rising costs of everything from ingredients to utilities. Despite our best efforts, we simply don’t have the resources to keep going.

We’re asking for support to take care of our amazing employees and loyal vendors who have supported us through every hurdle. We hope to stay open just a little longer to give our staff time to transition and to say a proper goodbye to the community that has meant so much to us.
