Our GoFundMe campaign is crucial in addressing the pressing needs of Myra's care and recovery journey. With multiple surgeries behind her and another one scheduled for 2025, Myra requires consistent medical attention due to her bones not growing correctly, which could lead to lifelong surgeries. As her full-time caregiver, I am unable to work, and the state does not provide compensation for her treatment, leaving us in a precarious financial situation. Why we need these things is clear: a reliable car is essential for getting Myra to her weekly medical appointments, especially with winter approaching. Additionally, as Myra grows, so does her need for new equipment to support her physical development and help her achieve new goals. An emotional support dog for her seizures is another necessity, but it comes with a hefty price tag. Moreover, I aspire to enroll Myra in music therapy, brain-focused therapy, and possibly aquatic therapy to enhance her quality of life despite her brain injury. Our story has garnered attention due to the crime case, yet our sole focus remains on providing Myra with the best life possible. I never thought I’d have to type these words so beat with me. As you’ve seen my baby was shot in the head and currently is in the icu. I ask for no evil to be said I ask for peace and prayers. I ask that no one speak on this situation in a negative light. mental health is so much bigger than what anyone talks about and please check up on the people around you and the people you love. My daughter was loved by the person that did this to her and we as the victims asked for no hate on any side be said. I have not spoken on this situation or talk to any press about any details we ask for time. When we are comfortable to speak about this we will but we are not comfortable right now. My biggest concern is being here with my child and supporting her for what is next to come there is no for sure answers of how that looks from the doctors we are taking it day by day. most important we ask for prayers but anything donated would be extremely appreciated. We are also looking for housing help, considering this has affected our housing. Again, when we are ready to give more details, we will speak. Myra Is Still Doing Everything She Can To Fight And Recover. She Has The Love And Support From All Of Her Family. ESPECIALLY Her Mom Destiny and Dad Malachi. While The World Around Us Is Still Moving They Remain In The Hospital Getting Every Update On Her Condition. Mia Harris Was A Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Grandmother And I’ll Never Forget That She Is My Mother. Mental Health Is So Real. When We Collectively Talk As A Family We've Gathered So Many Clues Together But We All Had Pieces To The Puzzle Until We Came Together. She Needed and Still Needs Help She Loved Myra And I Know I Know I’ve Heard It All What Kind Of Person Could Do This To A Baby?
