Help Our Family Travel for My Mom's Funeral

On February 3, 2024 my mother AJ Mullan passed away after battling liver disease. She was the epitome of the "social butterfly" and had a deep love for her family, friends, and community, all of whom deeply loved her in return. She was wild and witty and full of contagious sunshine, and anyone who spent just a few minutes with her can tell you what a memorable laugh she had. She was not only an amazing mom but an incredible grandmother, and my kids absolutely adored her. She was the central pillar of the family and her grandchildren attending her funeral has been the #1 priority for myself and my husband, Kam.

Her services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 in Estes Park, CO, and while we've been able to secure roundtrip airfare from Atlanta, those costs alone have eaten away at the savings we had. Like so many families these days, we struggle to afford general day-to-day expenses due to inflation rising faster than salaries. Kam works multiple jobs while I stay home to provide childcare for our toddler and preteens.

We still need to secure lodging for the days we aren't in Estes and a rental car for the entirety of our trip, as well as afford food & gas and other bare necessities. The costs of unexpected travel mean choosing between paying rent or saying final goodbyes to my mother in her hometown with the people who loved her most; a choice no one should have to make.

Any funds raised would go directly to previously listed expenses and if there's room to spare, we'd provide our kids experiences in the Estes/Boulder/Denver area (this is the first time they are travelling to Colorado).
