HELP our father and grandpa Omar to beat cancer!

Pavito... husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, brother, friend, the one who helps, the one who works hard, the one who laughs, the one who dances, the one who enjoys life and encourages everyone who crosses his path. He is currently 74 years and FULL OF LIFE!

We are Carlos and Michel, Omar's children. Over the past week, our dear father, Omar Pavón, has been sick, exhausted, and in pain. He has just undergone a specialized endoscopy called ERCP, which thankfully allowed the doctors to insert a prosthesis (extent) and allowed doctors to remove tumorous tissue for a biopsy. He will need a highly specialized operation – Whipple surgery – which is intricate and lengthy to remove a tumor lodged near his pancreas and bile ducts. So far, all signs point to this likely being a cancerous tumor; this surgery should be done as soon as possible before he is too weak to withstand the procedure.

We are very confident that all will be well, and we will come out before this trial by the grace and will of God.

As you can imagine, the public healthcare system in Honduras is terrible, that is why we have to do his surgery in a private hospital. He doesn´t have a private health insurance. The cost of the surgery is expensive (surgery+OR+IUC+recovery costs), so we are reaching out to all our family, friends, acquaintances, and future friends to help us raise funds for this surgery to be done as soon as possible. We know our father is a fighter and a strong man. Still, we have an opportunity, with your help to give him a better chance of recovery. We are confident we will be able to count on you because we know he has been a light in the lives of so many.

Pavito …. el esposo, el padre, el abuelo, el suegro, el tío, el hermano, el amigo, el que ayuda, el que trabaja duro, el que ríe, el que baila, el que goza la vida y anima a todos los que se cruzan en su camino. Actualmente tiene 74 años y está LLENO DE VIDA!

Somos Carlos y Michel, hijos de Omar. En estos días, nuestro querido padre Omar Pavón, ha estado enfermito, muy cansado y con dolor. Se le acaba de realizar una endoscopia especializada llamada CPRE, con la cual gracias a Dios se le colocó una prótesis (extent) y se le extrajo además una muestra para poder hacer una biopsia. Él necesitará una operación – Cirugía de Whipple – que es bastante seria, larga y complicada para sacar un tumor que está alojado cerca de su páncreas y vías biliares. Todo apunta a que es un tumor canceroso … esta cirugía se debe hacer lo más pronto posible antes que él se vea muy debilitado para poder soportarla … estamos muy confiados en que todo estará bien y saldremos delante de esta prueba por la gracia y voluntad de papa Dios.

Debido a esto nos vemos en la necesidad que acudir a ustedes familia, amigos, conocidos y futuros amigos para que nos ayuden a recaudar el importe económico para poder realizar esta cirugía lo más pronto posible.
