Help our father defeat his cancer.

We're reaching out today with a heartfelt plea for support for our father, Volodymyr, who is fighting a rare and aggressive form of cancer—Multiple Myeloma. As a devoted father of four children (three boys and one girl), his journey has been filled with countless challenges. Despite the hardships, his faith in God and love for his children have been his driving forces, inspiring us all.
My name is Greg, his 19-year-old and eldest son, along with my siblings, sister Sophia-17 and younger brothers Ioann-15, and Oleks-13 we have been by his side throughout this challenging journey. It's been more than just physically demanding; it has also laid an emotional toll on our thoughts and uncertainty about the future.
Our dad, at 51 years old, has been a pillar of strength in our lives, teaching us the values of discipline and resilience while showering us with unconditional love. When severe back pain struck, we initially had no idea of the underlying cause. He went to physiotherapy and chiropractors, but nothing seemed to alleviate the pain. It turned out the source was a tumor wrapped around his T12 vertebra in his lower back.
The pain became so debilitating that he could no longer work. Our siblings were growing, needing transportation to various activities, but Dad's condition prevented him from fulfilling those responsibilities. Consequently, I, as the oldest, assumed those roles and responsibilities, as the only one who could drive and work. It was tough, but I managed because of the values instilled in me by my father.
Battling Multiple Myeloma and a tumor around the spine has been an emotional and financial challenge for our family.
Dad worked in physically demanding home renovations, and his illness made it impossible to continue. This alone was a bitter pill to swallow as he needed to provide for his four children.
Throughout this ordeal, Dad has shown incredible strength. He's undergone multiple rounds of challenging radiation treatments and continues to endure chemotherapy for his blood cancer. Witnessing the transformation from the strong figure we knew him as to his current, more fragile state has been profoundly heart-wrenching, especially for my younger siblings, who once knew their dad as a tower of strength but now see him as a shadow of his former self.
Yet, through it all, Dad's unwavering positivity and determination shine through. He refuses to be defined solely by his health challenges and continues to push forward, offering us all a source of inspiration.
Adding to our family's burden, he recently navigated a painful and bitter divorce, further complicating an already challenging period in our lives, emotionally and financially. We rely on each other for support and remain hopeful that brighter days lie ahead, fueled by the enduring strength of family bonds.
We're taking it day by day, but it's clear our current income won't suffice. I work full-time, as well as take on side jobs to try to make ends meet, while my sister and brothers continue to go to school. Our most pressing responsibilities are covering rent and Dad's medical bills, particularly the costly IV-administered vitamin C treatments vital for his treatment.
Our current income falls short of covering these expenses, and it's depleting the savings Dad had set aside. This is a difficult and humbling moment for us, and we find ourselves in dire need of any help and support possible.
Your support, in any form, would mean the world to us during this challenging time. We wholeheartedly appreciate any assistance you can offer.
Thank you, from myself, Sophia, Ioann, Oleks, and my father.
May you be blessed for your generosity.
